Abstract

Promises and NEY are film productions that highlight the issue of Palestine through the view of two Jewish persons. In Promises, an American documentary, Goldberg interviews Arabian and Jewish children, and brings the problem of terrorism to debate. In NEY, an Argentinian documentary, Avruj talks about the Zionism based on its Jewish traditions, but does not associate it with a policy of land expropriation in Palestine. As secular Jews, Avruj and Goldberg debate the problems surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and allow their identities to be put to the test.
