Abstract

The study of historical time (temporality) has been changing recently in the field of theory and philosophy of history, as Ethan Kleinberg pointed out in his article Introduction: The New Metaphysics of Time, published in 2012. After Kleinberg's publication, other scholars tried to map and demonstrate these changes in temporality pointed out by him, with the book Rethinking Historical Time, New Approaches to Presentism organized by Marek Tamm and Laurent Olivier being a result of this renewed and even new way of thinking about temporality.. Published in 2019 by Bloomsbury Academic, the book is a major collaboration between several theorists who developed its chapters and which were organized into this unit by Marek Tamm and Laurent Olivier.
