Abstract

The aim of this article is to discuss the theme of 'women' in the context of scientific productions on cultural heritage, based on an investigation guided by the State of Knowledge methodology (Romanowski; Ens, 2006), in the CAPES journal database. The descriptors used were: heritage and women, in order to see how the productions that address the issue in an articulated way appear. We first looked at the number of publications over a five-year period, from 1991-2024. This showed that from 2006 onwards there was a significant increase in the number of articles published. Secondly, we analyzed the titles that suggested similar meanings to the descriptors, and 31 articles were selected for analysis of their abstracts. From this analysis, 8 articles were selected which articulate the themes investigated and which are presented in this article in a narrative bibliographical analysis based on Canuto, Oliveira (2020) and Rother, (2007). The analysis highlighted possibilities for dialogue and problematization of cultural heritage based on women's history, as well as the need to address women's heritage and the complexities that exist in this relationship.
