Author Biography

Rubens Pereira dos Santos, Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho

He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of São Paulo (1970), a master's degree from the University of São Paulo (1977) and a doctorate from the University of São Paulo (1995). He is a retired professor (assistant professor -ms-3) at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho. He is currently a volunteer lecturer in the Graduate Program in Languages. He has experience in the area of Letters, with an emphasis on Portuguese Language Literatures (Brazilian, Portuguese and African Portuguese language literatures, with a focus on Cape Verdean literature (poetry and prose) and its relationship with Brazilian and Portuguese literatures), working mainly on the following themes: identity, Cape Verdeanness, confluence, criticism and comparatism.
