The representations of a guerrilla in the Brazilian Military Dictatorship’s period

Abstract

Situated in the ‘self-writing’, this article presents a mixture of biography and memory associated with an affective relationship, belonging and total insertion of the subject in the historical time of selected period, the Military Dictatorship’s period in Brazil, a period which works with rearrangements in social, cultural and political relationships. In this article it is considered the fact which through recording memories and experiences it is possible for the historian access images, representations, facts and speeches that may contribute for the approach of the identity of young militants who lived this resistance period, being able to build meanings about themselves and each other.

Author Biography

Eloísa Pereira Barroso, Paulista State University UNESP

Possui graduação em Letras pela Universidade de Brasília (1997), mestrado em Sociologia pela Universidade de Brasília (2004), doutorado em Sociologia pela Universidade de Brasília (2008) e doutorado sanduíche em Sociologia pela Frei Universität Berlin- Alemanha (2007). Professora Associada da Universidade de Brasília do Departamento de História, diretora da Diretoria de Desenvolvimento Social da UnB e cadastrada Programa de Pós Graduação em História da UnB. Tem experiência na área de História, com ênfase em História, Literatura, Oralidade, Memória, Ditadura Gênero e Patrimônio, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: história, cultura, gênero, literatura e cidade.
